Laimburg Manor Selection sweet wines

Laimburg’s Manor Selection consists of specially selected and highly individualised wines. The crown jewels of the Manor Selection are its sweet wines, the unique Moscato Rosa and “Saphir” Sauvignon Blanc Passito.

1989

Laimburg
Alto Adige/Südtirol Moscato Rosa DOC

Data sheet
The fully ripened grapes are hand-harvested and mat-dried until shrunken, the must is fermented in small casks and then aged no less than six months.

Pale ruby red. Rather than typical muscatel, this round, opulent sweet wine exhibits a beguiling aroma of roses. Elegantly structured with a lingering finish.

Every year, the Laimburg Moscato Rosa label features the work of a South Tyrolean artist. Because of their limited supply, these bottles are coveted by collectors.

Laimburg "Saphir"
Alto Adige/Südtirol Sauvignon Passito DOC

Data sheet
Naturally sweet Sauvignon Blanc grapes are allowed to dry partially on the vine before harvest and pressing. The must is fermented in barriques, where it remains for eight months of aging.

Topaz colored with tropical aromas, this extract-rich sweet wine is made from botrytis-bearing grape clusters. Finish is both sharp and persistent. Truly a treasure.
