Laimburg Estate Management - Laimburg Estate Management is responsible for all of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/South Tyrol's agriculturally-developed properties, as well as the Research Centre's finances.




Laimburg Agriculture and Forestry Research Centre

Viticulture Division
The Viticulture Division’s function is to support South Tyrolean grape farming through practically oriented research. Particular attention is paid to efficient, environmentally-friendly and quality oriented vineyard management.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

Feel Refreshed and Rejuvenated under the Southern Sky

On the sunny slopes above Meran where Austria’s Empress Elisabeth once strolled, today you will find the flowering gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. This unique garden area features some 400.000 species of plants, and in its centre the former Habsburg residence now houses the Province’s Museum of Tourism. The gardens are operated as one of the Laimburg Estate Holdings.




Laimburg Vocational School for Orcharding, Viticulture and Gardening - The vocational school offers training in various agricultural professions, including viticulture.




South Tyrol Wine Promotions - South Tyrol Wine Promotions is the official organ of the province’s wine industry, and is responsible for the promotion of South Tyrolean wine both nationally and internationally.




South Tyrolean Association of Sommeliers - In addition to its Sommeliers course, the South Tyrolean Association of Sommeliers offers other courses to the public, and also strives to elevate wine culture in the local restaurant trade.
